Reading the captain multiplier in real time
If your captain is batting and hits a six, you earn 12 extra points (6 base + 6 six bonus, doubled). If your captain takes a wicket, you earn 50 points. Most successful fantasy lineups through a full season generate between 40% and 55% of their total points from captain and vice-captain selections alone — pick the captain carefully.
Wicket alerts and impact
The live match centre pushes a notification within three seconds of any wicket falling, including the bowler, the batter dismissed, the new batter at the crease and the impact on the projected final score. Most fantasy apps use this signal to update projected points in real time.
How to use the live scorecard during a match
- Open the live match centre two minutes before the toss and confirm the playing XI.
- Lock your team at the toss — late swaps are not allowed once the first ball is bowled.
- Watch the captain multiplier line — if your captain is dismissed cheaply, switch your attention to vice-captain and the differential bowlers.
- Track projected points every two overs to see if your team is on track for a winning rank.
